Co-Founder and Board President

The Land of Awe Children’s Museum was the first non-profit organization that I started with two friends. We each had two young children and enjoyed giving our kids fun and educational opportunities for play. We created Land of Awe with the goal of opening a brick and mortar destination for hands-on, experiential exhibits for children and their families.

After a few years of raising funds through memberships, sponsorship and large community events, we chose to merge with another similar project and it became The Science Factory. Later they changed their name to The Science Center. It still operates today in Eugene as an excellent place for kids to learn through play.

I was published in the Happening People column of The Eugene Weekly for the second time
