I Do Stuff

I am not your average bird.

Throughout my life I have been called to create. I love the early visionary part where I get to solve complex problems and create something out of nothing. I love to bring people together and celebrate connection and shared passions. I’ve been told that I have a way of synthesizing the collective voice and turning it into tangible, doable steps, then getting it done. I relentlessly believe in the goodness of people and I believe in manifesting the world that we want to live in.

As a queer, neuro-divergent, artsy type, I dive deep into my special interests. They crop up over night and before you know it I am being interviewed by the local papers for my opinion on the subject, or teaching a class about it. I consume data and stories like candy for my brain. This has meant that my career path has been curvy and anything but linear. Whether it is creating community wide adaptive swim programs for low income kids with disabilities at the age of 10, or building fundraising campaigns for Eugene Oregon’s largest festivals in my 30’s, I just jump. Magically, the net presents itself. The universe conspires to support me while I figure it out as I go.

Now that I’ve gained the confidence that comes with age and experience, I honestly believe that there is nothing I can’t do. If I believe in the mission and enjoy the people around me, I’m going to blow your mind!

Below is a fun selection of some of the things that I have accomplished over the 30 years of being self employed. I want to give you a feel for the diversity and scope of my projects. They range from starting a fun bicycle tourism company, to building a specialty cut flower farm, to becoming a viral International Travel Vlogger, and so much more. There is one thing that is consistent, however, and will never change- It’s me. My authenticity, quirky style and genuine warmth comes with me everywhere I go.

I was voted “Best Person Who Makes A Difference” by the readers of the Eugene Weekly (2nd place) right between 1st place winner Mayor Kitty Piercy and 3rd place winner, Congressman Peter DeFazio.

Here is a fun interview that was published in The Oregon Daily Emerald about my leadership style, varied career path and dedication to the arts.
