Network For Reproductive Options (NRO) was created as a response to the Eugene areas’s only abortion clinic closing down. Together with my midwife, clinic workers, and community activists, we started a new non-profit organization to help fill the gap. We raised funds for low income women to be able to travel to Portland and receive their medical care. These funds provided childcare, transportation and lodging. It quickly become the PNW’s largest funder for reproductive rights.
