Professional Washboard Player

I started out playing a typical drum kit. I learned pretty quickly though, that I did not enjoy carrying all of the equipment into gigs and having to set it all up while the rest of the band enjoyed a drink before the show. So, I followed in the footsteps of Bonnie Paine of Elephant Revival, and I started playing the washboard.

Over the years I played on both coasts, toured all over, and handled all booking for all of the bands I was in. These busy gigging acts were called Chesapeake Blue, The Whiskey Chasers, The Eager Beavers and The Bearded Cindys.

In addition to playing washboard, I also played ukulele, cajon and sang original songs that I wrote.
